1948 UJA video with Charlton Heston and Edward G. Robinson

This is absolutely incredible footage; Charlton Heston, Edward G. Robinson and a whole bunch of others with appropriately 1940's-newsreel voices, and their pitch for the UJA campaign:

  1. Wow! Thanks for posting this. Being an old time radio fan, I am used to hearing the voices of the Hollywood of the 30s, 40s and 50s speaking sincerely about G-d and positively about America, and believably about their love and respect for the other -- as long as the other shared American values. It's refreshing to see evidence that some people were pitching OUR Palestine honestly and favorably. I am grateful for much of what I live in the middle of today. But I am also a bit wistful for some of what surrounded my dear parents and grandparents. (Of course, if any of today's cynics see this, they will assume that it was just propaganda from the Zionist Entity which, of course, controls Hollywood...)
